Several weeks later than intended, I've put the binary releases of OpenFire v1.0 on google code and created a new JNLP link. Click on the downloads link to the left or click on this link. The JNLP version is typically easier to use if you just want the client and not the relay: JNLP auto-installer.
Right now I still use a self-signed key, however for the next release I'm going to buy a proper certificate from a certificate authority. Can't decide which, and don't particularly enjoy getting fleeced while I'm at it either.
So, v1.0 release eh? I'm glad I finally got there. Obviously this isn't the end of the project though, I still have tons of stuff planned and I got plenty of suggestions from people who actually used it at Gumpcom ChillLAN #1. I'll update the wiki on google code with a new release plan soon, and post up here if there is anything particularly interesting to report. Until then...
