That crucial time has arrived, and just about everything we wanted ready for the first release is now complete. I'm tagging all the source code in Subversion just now, then I'll put up a binary release of the library, relay and client later on tonight.
It's been an arduous journey, with somewhere around 200 hours worth of coding done in my spare time over the last 5 months, but we finally got there. Communication with the XFire server is a go, the relay works (albeit in a basic form for now), and the client sorta-works (it's really only for demo purposes anyway). Given that nothing is ever perfect, it is worth releasing today and starting a maintenance stream for 1.x so that I stick to my original deadline.
The adventurous should be able to check out the source and build it themselves in a couple of hours, meanwhile the binary release will be out later today for those who just want to use it.
